What means VCP?”

VCP stands for "Verband Christlicher Pfadfinder und Pfadfinderinnen" and the translation is: Association of christian guides and scouts. It is one of the german scout associations.

What does "IMWe" mean?”

IMWe is the abbrevation of the german words "Internationale Musische Werkstatt". Translated this means international artistic workshop. To make more clear what we are doing at IMWe, we use the word creative instead of artistic. So, IMWe is an international creative workshop for guides and scouts.

Why is the IMWe so expensive? And is it really expensive?

IMWe takes place at the scout center of the VCP, Rieneck castle. Yes, it is a real castle! IMWe includes 8 nights with 3 meals per day. Full service! One night including three meals costs about 26€ per person. This is a fair price, especially in view of the high quality of both the accommodation and the food. So 8 times 26€ is 208€. That is the largest part of the fee (2011: 230€). What happens with the other 22€? Some of this money goes towards supporting scouts from countries with a lower GDP, who accordingly pay a lower fee. The rest of it is spent on workshop material and decorations, to help us offer you the best programme possible. Without the support of VCP and fundings, running this programme would be impossible!
